We loved the fresh and innovative designs of Katrina Naish`s family trees when we first saw them and we`re delighted to welcome her and her business (the aptly named) `Uniquely Grown` to join us on Acolyte Home & Gifts. The designs of each family tree are adaptive to reflect the nature of modern day families and make highly original gifts as they include the option of varying the print colours. Katrina also welcomes commissions if you have a particular design in mind which isn`t available. Uniquely Grown is from Australia - if you love the designs and want to have one created for your family but live overseas; simply contact Katrina and once your design is completed, you can receive it via email. Of course, you can then email it on to other members of your family if they also live in foreign climes. |

Fiona Foster of Air Art has unveiled her latest artwork here exclusively at Acolyte Home & Gifts - `Cougar` is a stunning portrait of a big cat otherwise known as a Mountain Lion. You can read about the time and care which Fiona dedicates to her art by clicking here which takes you through to our blog - there`s a fascinating article devoted to this picture which shows the various stages in creating a masterpiece such as this. Fiona has also introduced limited edition prints of `Cougar`, `Rose`, `You looking at Me`, and `Leo Wonders` which are quite lovely and are sold mounted and framed.

Janet Henderson of Quaint Cakes has introduced `The Perfect Roses` class. Students attending will learn how to create the most beautifully realistic blooms and leaves from sugar paste using a variety of tools and techniques. They can then be used to decorate a supplied minicake which can be taken home. From the 25th of April, Janet will also be running Jubilee inspired cake decorating classes - red, white and blue flowers, teapots, crowns, ribbons and stencilling - so if you`re planning a Jubilee event and need a stunning centrepiece for the table - Janet`s classes in Weymouth are a `must have` to make your celebrations especially stylish. |
