Quaint Cakes is based in the seaside resort of Weymouth in the beautiful county of Dorset and is owned by Janet Henderson, a professional Baker with over 20 years’ experience and  a Masters in Cake Decorating.

Aside from offering a bespoke cake service, Quaint Cakes offers the chance for groups of up to 5 people to attend classes in the relaxed atmosphere of Janet`s home where they can learn the intricacies of skilled cake decorating.

Discover the difference between fondant and flower paste, learn how to shape flowers along with some vital tricks of the trade.  These classes are a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, make some new friends or simply get together with some old ones for a really fun day. Janet provides her students with afternoon tea and all the equipment necessary (including the cakes)! You`ll finish the day with a new set of skills, a newfound confidence in cake decorating and perhaps even some new friends. You`ll also be given a list of suppliers, Quaint Cakes` recipes and a list of everything you did during the day as an aide memoire.

Janet has studied for and gained Honours Degrees in Chemistry and Psychology. She is currently part way through a Masters in Cognitive Psychology. Dorset has strong family ties for her and she`s also a keen swimmer – how do you find the time Janet?
