The Wine Journal
About The Wine Journal
When we first caught sight of The Wine Journal`s product range we were struck by not only the quality but also the uniqueness of what was on offer! As a result, we`re delighted to work with Stewart Rose, the designer behind The Wine Journal.
In 2009, having spotted a gap in the market, Gloucestershire based Stewart launched The Wine Journal.
`Although I wouldn`t class myself as a true wine buff, I knew there wasn`t a product that easily allowed a fan of wine to not only learn more, but also remember and record those most memorable wines. The Wine Journal is totally unique in that I`ve developed it to include a wine label remover which means it can be easily removed from that memorable bottle and recorded in the Journal to give an accurate visual record.`

Stewart Rose - designer
In July 2011 Stewart introduced XL Corks.
`They`re quirky, fun and I thought the idea complemented The Wine Journal; my existing customers loved them. The response at events was amazing – attending a Wine Show on the South Coast with the XL Corks for the first time; they sold out on the first day! `.
`I`m completely inspired by customer feedback. As a designer, when you`ve put a huge amount of effort into designing, developing and manufacturing a product, it`s great to get that response which makes it all worthwhile.
The XL Corks have certainly attracted a lot of international attention. Stewart was recently commissioned to develop a Wine Cork for the Rothschild family and one of his champagne style corks featured in a Moet & Chandon advert in Vanity Fair in October 2011.
Incidentally, the giant `Chateau de MaxRose is a replica of the famous Chateau de Montrose cork but was personalised in honour of his son Max.
`He`s only 4, but very happy to have a cork and chateau named after him`
